Make is a cool, modern and flat styling admin dashboard theme built with AngularJS as a frontend framework built on top of Bootstrap 3. It’s flat and modern design makes it easy to navigate and very intuitive. The dashboard offers it’s users a multitude of layout options like left to right, right to left, boxed and so on.

Who made it

Make was developed by the guys at themelab a themeforest user with a lot of ideas and over 40k in sales. Althow They have only 2 more items: Make and Pixit I think that they will sell a considerable amount due to the fact that their products are triple A+ quality.

What is a admin theme dashboard

A admin dashboard is a custom administration sections of a blog or web app. Rather than designing your own interface, and loosing precious time with the scaffolding HTML and CSS, you can purchase Make, and then integrate it into your web app.

For example, Envato uses an admin template sold here for its accounts/invoicing interface.

What is Angular

This is a actual quote from Angular’s wikipedia page:

In software development, AngularJS (commonly referred to as “Angular”) is an open-source web application framework maintained by Google and by a community of individual developers and corporations to address many of the challenges encountered in developing single-page applications. It aims to simplify both the development and the testing of such applications by providing a framework for client-side model–view–controller (MVC) and model-view-viewmodel (MVVM) architectures, along with components commonly used in rich Internet applications.

Admin Builder

Make is the first to integrate the Admin Builder, a feature that will allow you to set up and customize your Admin dashboard like sidebars, top content, links and styles, thus saving you more time and allowing you to focus on the actual app that you and your team are building.

One thing that I like about this theme using a AngularJS frontend is the fact that by using it, the routing from angular are handling the navigation and it really feels like a One page application, there is no load time, thus things are faster.

The editing of elements in the Admin Builder are simpler than ever, you just select your sidebar location, and then right click on the item you want to change. Immediately you will be prompted with a cool sidemenu that has some editing options.

Page Builder

Make’s Page builder is perfect for creating, editing and deleting pages on the fly. You can add elements on the page quickly like forms, panels, tables all with a simple drag and drop. Images have simple upload forms, tables can be basic of dynamic, and much more.

A thing that I liked on the page builder was the layout option for the blocks, you had a few options like multi or single column layouts smart divided. At the end there was the option to export the page we created and upload it to the server.

All around the page builder is a awesome tool for any developer or programmer that has his hands full and needs to scaffold thing quickly and safely without breaking half of it’s codebase. Make can do this for you, it takes the hassle of creating, maintaining and updating things.

Things that can be improved

A few things that can be improved are the calendar feature, can be compatible with Google Calendar and the email plugin being compatible with Gmail. Other thing is that it works best with Angular, like the old days when a site was best viewed on *insert browser name here*.

Some users are complaining that it’s very complicated to use Make with React and Webpack. The thing is that the theme is heavily dependent on jquery for it’s layout and modifying stuff the way you need on another application language like React is difficult.

In conclusion, Make is a outstanding theme for building and scaffolding quick admin templates on the fly without much hassle. It builds everything for you and can be up an running in no time. The price is also a deciding factor, only 23$, keeping in mind that you can make dozens of layouts and don’t have to buy a admin theme ever again.

The fact that it was featured on Envato with a A+ also makes this dashboard theme a good addition if you are a building multiple applications.
